annika is very sweet to me and very patient. we are very different people but they've worked so hard not only to understand me but to accept me as i am. i fucked up a lot when we were dating, to put it lightly, and they've forgiven me. i'm grateful for that. but beyond how they treat me, annika is just so damn cool. i really admire their politics and their praxis. i wish i were as competent as them. one time they had to help me screw on a new license plate, lol. they're my number one call in most situations and they almost always pick up.
annika's mom is from sweden and annika loves sweden. they especially love swedish food, like pickled herring... mmm! and gravlox. they're a big fan of eating a lot of fish. the one thing they aren't enthusiastic about in terms of sweden is the swedish flag, don't ask me why. annika really loves kids, because kids are epic. they have worked and do work at a bunch of schools with a bunch of different kinds of kids. they're planning on becoming an elementary school teacher full time once they get all the necessary degrees. they are super kind and generous with everyone, but especially with kids, and i really admire that.
the fool is a publication started by me and my ex girlfriend lavender. annika came on board pretty early in the process and was a major help. i don't work with the fool anymore but annika is going strong and is basically in charge (don't tell lavender). they built a neocities for the fool which you can find here and it's epic.
annika is soooo in love with their fiance lizzie it's amazing. but they also date other people and like to talk about how terrific polyamory is. i'm in agreement — i'm basically going to be in open relationships forever so i never have to stop having with anni what i have with anni. i feel like most people being polyamorous can be pretty messy or weird but with annika it's just wonderful.
